Can the AD9548 take 2.5V on the output driver supply AVDD3 pins (31, 37, 38, 44) in CMOS mode? The datasheet specifically mentions 1.8V and 3.3V, but we're wondering if there is any issue with driving it at 2.5V to interface with AD9116 better and that the datasheet is just old and not updated as 2.5V became more popular over the years.
I doubt there would be damage, but any reason why 2.5V wouldn't work?

The CMOS outputs should work with 2.5V applied on the pins you specified. We do not have any characterization data to support the operating mode of 2.5V, but your statements are correct. The circuit should operate and it will cause no damage. Keep in mind that none of the other output modes will operate with a voltage less than 3.3V. The maximum output speed will likely be reduced from the 250MHz supported at 3.3V, but without data, I cannot say what the maximum frequency would be.
