Hello. I want to use AD9554-1 for de-mapping OTN signal. So, does AD9554-1 support gapped clock?
The AD9554-1 can functionally operate with a gapped clock, but the reference monitors will have to be bypassed as the cycle to cycle deviation of the input clock is too large for them to validate. This implies the user will have to manually control the state of DPLL operation (active versus holdover/freerun) based on the state of the system.
It should be noted that the AD9554-1 has integrated support on each channel for the client data buffer servo approach of de-mapping.
