The HMC7043 device seems to be struggling to produce a CMOS output. I have configured output 0 using the value 0x18.
Also - the evaluation board configures reserved registers to values that aren't specified in the datasheet. Which values should we use? Datasheet values or evaluation software values?
Okay - this is undocumented in the datasheet from what I can tell:
When the output driver mode is set to CMOS mode, bits[1:0] in reg 0xD0 change meaning and become decoder select lines.
If I am correct would you please update the datasheet to reflect this? Are there any other pending changes to the datasheet that we should be aware of? Here is another difference between the GUI software and the datasheet:
whereas Table 40 from the datasheet shows the following values
Please confirm these differences and I'll accept the answer.
Right, output selection in CMOS mode is not documented in the datasheet. You can use GUI as a reference for this purpose.
The default (power-up) value of registers 0x009F and 0x00A0 are 0x85 and 0x86 respectively - as shown in GUI. However for the correct performance, these registers should be programmed to values given in the datasheet (0x4D and 0xDF).
Okay - Thanks Kazim.
