I'm currently trying to get my new CN0428 eval board mounted on an EVAL-ADIUCP3029 answering via my terminal program.
I can enter "help" but there is no response except the echo of the terminal input.
The online documentation states that I have to flash a .hex firmware file on the board but I was not able to find an appropriate file yet.
Does anyone have an idea where to get the file from?
Many thanks in advance!
Were you able to find your the hex file. Here is the link again. https://github.com/analogdevicesinc/EVAL-ADICUP3029/tree/cn04289/projects/ADuCM3029_demo_cn0428_cn0429/Release
I already read the CN0428 user guide but actually I didn't look into the source code repository.
Unfortunately the link to the .hex file shown above does not work (anymore).
With some variations I found https://github.com/analogdevicesinc/EVAL-ADICUP3029/tree/master/projects/ADuCM3029_demo_cn0428_cn0429/Release which looks promising at least.
I copied the .hex-file to DAPLINK drive but the result was a new file called FAIL.TXT stating "An error occurred during the transfer".
Did I find the wrong file?
So the files were recently merged into our master branch of Github while we were going through some minor code clean up.
You should be able to find the updated files here https://github.com/analogdevicesinc/EVAL-ADICUP3029/tree/master/projects/ADuCM3029_demo_cn0428_cn0429/Release
This issue could also be caused by the Windows encrypting files you are copying on external devices (assuming you are using Windows). This can be checked with your IT department.
If this isn't the issue you could try using the CrossCore Serial Flash Programmer.
Hope this helps,
Finally I recognized my mistake.
The link above leads to a html file and I had some problems to get the actual hex file.
In my Linux environment I used the following command for downloading it.
It has a size of 319KB instead of 1.7MB.
I was able to flash it via DAPLINK and now the board works as expected.
Thank you very much for your support!
