If the VHH, +13V output is not required, then is it required to provide the +17V VHHP to MAX9979 IC? Can only PMU functionality be utilized without applying +17V to the VHHP pin?
Even if super voltage (VHH) features of MAX9979 are not used, device operation still requires the user to apply VHHP. When VHHP is not applied, PMU functionality is not enabled. There is an internal logic (watchdog) circuitry connecting PMU and VHHP circuitry.
