Hola
What is GRDALM standing for by Alarm setup register, 0x06? No information in the datasheet? How is it triggered by event?

Hola, Stitch.
Apologies for the delayed response. I thought I already responded to this but apparently the response didn't go through.
GRDALM stands for Guard Alarm and there's a section in the datasheet that explains the guard function.

Best regards,
Mac
Hi Mac
How does GRDALM act? How GRDALM sense output short to GND? How many difference between Force & GUARD would trigger GRDALM?
Hi, Stitch.
We currently have a lot on our plate hence the delay in response. But I am currently reaching out to other teams to discuss this inquiry, to give you information beyond what the datasheet provides as long as we're allowed to share them.
Best regards,
Mac
Hi Mac
Thanks. I would like evaluate what is the side effect when GRDALM activated.
Hi, Stitch.
After discussing this with the team, these are what we found:
The difference between FORCE and Guard amplifier output that would trigger the \KELALM is 100mV. Just realized it was stated in the datasheet as well:

AD5560 has its own scheme that prevents SW17 and SW18 to be closed at the same time, subsequently avoiding a scenario that the guard amplifier output gets connected to the DUTGND.

The guard amplifier output being shorted to GND or any potential 100mV away from the FORCE may happen external to the part (i.e. if the shield gets shorted to another potential).
\KELALM is triggered if a difference of 100mV is detected for a minimum duration of 200uS.
Best regards,
Mac
