LTS-2020 manuals and software

Category: Software
Product Number: LTS-2020

I have a very clean and at least somewhat functional LTS-2020 device tester. Though it came with two 5.25" floppies, the one in the lower drive is unreadable by ImageDisk—which is presumably the boot disk.

I did learn that RS-232 port 1 operates at 19.2k baud, 7 bits, even parity, two stop bits, and seems to use Televideo escape sequences.

I'm surprised I've been unable to find any documentation or software available online for these units, though there does appear to be at least one company offering upgrades to it.

I'm working with a tech museum and this would be a nice piece to demonstrate how early automated test systems worked, but it seems like it won't do much without software.

Thanks in advance!

  • Hi,

This product is not among those that this community supports and I honestly don't know if I can move this to another forum (if there is any I can move it to, because this is apparently very, very old). I however tried to find SW upgrades for LTS-2020 and I found this site: https://www.calyxsystems.com/PCLTS%20Upgrade.html. The manual was published some time in the early to mid 1990's and the last software upgrades were made a long time ago as well, but you may want to check this out. This probably is the extent of the support we can offer for this product.

    Thanks,
    Mac

  • Thanks, Mac. Calyx Systems was who I was referencing in my second to last paragraph. They have yet to respond to my email, unfortunately.

While unlikely, I figured there might be a company or university out there still using their system, given how incredibly well made it is. Just copies of boot disks would go a long way in getting this system running. Again, this is not for commercial use, but to support a vintage technology museum.
