Formula to measure voltage

Category: Datasheet/Specs
Product Number: AD5522

Hi,

I have a problem with the MV voltage formula with the AD5522.

Currently, I use the formula below for the current and it works fine. But the formula for the voltage gives me negative numbers. Am I using the right formula?

For example (Vref = 5V):

Vdut = 0V => Out = -2.24 (Vmin = 11.249)

Vdut = 4V => Out = -1.449 (Vmin = 11.249)

It is written in point 2 that OFFSET DAC, does not change the value of the output voltage. However, this is part of the formula ?

Thanks

  • Hi,

    Thanks for your patience. The datasheet is correct in saying that the offset DAC does not affect MV and MI's voltage range but please note that it only said range. Offset DAC still affects the values of your VDUT and VMIN.

    In your question, you put your VMIN at 11.249. May I know why that is? What offset DAC code are you using?

    Thanks,
    Mac
