About ADATE207 MCLK input parameters

Category: Hardware
Product Number: ADATE207

Dear ADI engineer

I find the MCLK type is LVCOM25 in the datasheet and the LVCOMS25 VIL max=0.7V and VIH min=1.7V. but the MCLK is a differential signal.

Commonly used differential signal standards cannot be matched to LVCOMS25 parameters. So i need some help from you.

1.Can I connect a single-ended signal to MCLK_P. MCLK_N floating or grounding?

2.Is there any recommended other way to solve this problem?

Thanks

  • Hi,

Thanks for your interest in ADATE207. We'll have an internal discussion about this and will let you know once we have come up to a proper response.

Meanwhile, please note that ADATE207 is no longer recommended for new designs.

    Thanks,
    Mac

  • Hi,

Thanks for your patience. We discussed your concern and it seems that this is a new design and this move is no longer recommended. Support for this product is now very very limited.

There are currently no experiments done on simulation and on bench that can confirm if connecting single-ended signals to the MCLK pins would work just fine though I think that can still work. Resources for ADATE207 support is now scarce so if this is for experiment purposes, this is one you can still try.

    Best regards,
    Mac
