Q: During testing we have burned speaker issue because of DC voltage on speaker. What condition makes this case happen?
A: When LRCLK is removed while the device is enabled with BCLK running, it can cause the output to become stuck at a DC voltage. This sounds like what is happening in the test configuration. Toggling /SD_MODE off then on won’t fix the issue. If there’s need to stop LRCLK, the device needs to be placed in to shutdown (/SD_MODE low) before LRCLK is removed. The LRCLK needs to be present before the device enabled to prevent the output getting stuck at DC.
