Can you detail what the "certain level" is?

Also, what is your load impedance?

What is your PVDD voltage?

The impedance is approximately 20 ohms, and the PVDD voltage is 1.8V.

20 Ohm is fairly high impedance the OCP only triggerss when SSM6515 senses a high current draw not just a short. Do you see the OCP trigger in Status register of SigmaStudio? What power are you trying to drive into the 20 ohm load? Just doing some back of the envelope math this part would have a power rating of approximately 67mW.
