We have been using the ADAU1962 for a while.
It is listed as "Production" status, but vendors such as Digikey are now listing as "Not recommended for new designs".
There is also no stock, whereas there is stock of ADAU1962A (on both AD website and Digikey, etc.)
Can we get some info on the status of this part? I am going to have to redesign some boards if it is EOL, and I would like to know sooner rather than later.
Hello InoJosh,
Yes, the "A" versions have more adoption so there is more stock. We did change the ADAU1966 to NRND but I do not know why the vendors would list the 1962 as NRND.
Is your product using the part with a 5V AVDD or 3.3V?
Are you using it differentially?
This week I can do more investigation internally. Feel free to message me on the forum and include a friend request so I can respond.
Thanks for inquiring.

5V AVDD (ADAU1962)
Yes, differentially.
Originally, to me, seemed like an obvious choice to choose the chip with the higher voltage swing and better specs.
But now with the stock situation it isn't looking that way.
Hello Josh,
You sent me a PM but your account is not accepting messages from users who are not your friend. So either change the setting or send me a friend request. This happens all the time and I asked the forum programmer to allow users like me with an ADI account to override the setting on users account and be able to respond to anyone.
