Hello Patrick,
I think we could use a bit more info.
Is this for a headphone or VR headset?
Is this for two or three speakers in a sound bar that you want to obtain and larger sound stage?
What are the signal sources? Bluetooth? Network?
What are the sampling rates?
Is it battery operated?
So you want to take a stereo signal and develop and virtual surround?
I may have some more questions once I understand the application a little better.

Hello Dave
This is smart microphone application for youtuber user. 4ch Analog microphone input>Audio codec-> 1ch headphone output (3.5mm connector).
This smart microphone use USB power 5V and need have virtual surround feature. The Audio codec will receive 4 ch microphone(single-end) signal and provide one headphone output.
Do we have suitable and popular solution for it? Thank you.

Hello Patrick,
I still need more info. I am still a bit confused.
You want four microphones? You want it to go to one stereo headphone output?
How does Virtual Surround enter into this at all? Do you want the four microphones to mix down to headphone to make it sound like you have a four speaker headphone?
Usually a Virtual Surround uses a DSP to do this processing, yet, you are asking about a codec?
We have a four channel codec with a headphone output that fits your basic codec requirements. The ADAU1372.
The ADAU1787 has a DSP included that is as powerful as the ADAU1761. It uses the same core and can run at the same speed. The 1761 has the ADI Virtual which takes a 5.1 input signal and combines it into a stereo signal. However, this algorithm has not been ported over to the ADAU1787 yet. Let me know the details of your project like projected annual volume and when you are planning on going into production?
You could use the ADAU1372 along with the ADAU1761. They are both low power so it should be fine to operate off of USB bus power.
