AD1865 N-K chip

I know this chip has been obsolete for some time, but I have a DAC that I had just finished upgrading around the DAC PCB and then the AD1865 chip went bad, either to over-voltage, static discharge, or just for being a fake.

The only sources are in China for this chip at the moment and so there is quite a bit of fakery probably going on.

Is there another current chip in the same package that might work in its place?  I'd hate to waste the PCB for it if I can't find a straight fit replacement.

Thanks much.

  • Hello whaleman,

Unfortunately there is no drop-in replacement for the part. You would have to modify the design to work with a newer DAC.
