obsolete DAC AD1865R , AD1865XR, and AD1865P

Hi,

I built an AD1865R-J DAC which perform well , and here's a supplier who can sell a small amount of obsolete DAC chip, The seller has AD1865R , AD1865R-J , AD1865XR, and AD1865P (PLCC package )

I checked datasheet and found that AD1865R and AD1865R-J are soic , and the one with -J are more better in performance.

I can't find AD1865XR, and also AD1865P in datasheet, I wish to know if the quality is the same as AD1965R or inferior than AD1865R please?

Hello tru168,

The "X" means that they are "X" grade which is pre-released material. These should never end up being sold. They could be an older revision or have other issues. We often have two or more revisions on a part before it is released. Especially back then.

The "P" version I could not find in our records at all. They may have been built as a special part for one customer and the surplus was sold off by the customer. The datasheet would be confidential so I have no idea if the specifications were any different.
