This AD1885 CODEC is an old device but I need to change the ADC & DAC sample ratesin existing assembler code.
I just can't find the explicit answers in the AD data sheet.I want:-left out at 9k6 Hz, right out at 48kHz ..... left in at 9k6 Hz, right in at 48kHzand as an alternative:-left out and right out at 9k6 Hz ....... left in at 9k6 Hz, right in at 48kHzin the dm(tx_buf + COMMAND_DATA_SLOT)
Would be very grateful if you can either point me to the documentation that covers thisOR if you could supply the answers. cheers, Peter
I will make an attempt at answering this for you but keep in mind that you may know this part better than I. I will ask one of the other Apps engineers tomorrow to see if he knows this better.
It looks to me that the Miscellaneous Control Bits register 0x76, holds the settings for the sample rates used by the converters. So you can select if they are to use sample rate 0 or sample rate 1. SR0 or SR1. This is on page 20 of the datasheet.
Then on the next page, page 21, you see the two sample rate registers. So set one up for 9k6 Hz. Then setup the other one for 48kHz. Then set the ADCs and DACs to the desired rate.
Dave, you got it! Not actually tried it but it looks very convincing. Why on earth could I not find that MISC CONTROL BITS register ?I have no idea..... old age I guess! Many thanks, Peter G3XJP
Dave, it is working fine now. Most grateful for your help. Peter
