Hi all,

In the datasheet Table VIII. Control Register C [0] , what is the "ADC High Pass Filter" ?

Best regards,

    Hello sss,

Since this part was released in 2003 I am sorry but I do not have any more information than what is in the datasheet and from my experience. The filter is for removing the DC offset of the ADC. So it will most likely have a 2 or 4Hz cutoff but the order of the filter I am not certain of. It will be at least a second order filter. This is a good feature to use. Inside a DSP the DC offset can cause problems with pops and for displaying levels so getting rid of the DC at the converter, or the codec, saves MIPS so that the DSP does not have to do it.
