In the May StudentZone activity, we used a 1:1 turns ratio transformer, now try to change the transformer’s turns ratio to 2:1. What happens?
Answer:
The voltage across the secondary winding is double that of the voltage across the primary winding. This means the voltage is stepped up by a factor of 2. Therefore, the voltage output will be larger compared to the 1:1 ratio transformer.
