Segger J-Link EDU and ADuCM4050 (EV-COG-AD4050LZ) Debugging Help

Hi all,

I'm developing a custom board with the ADuCM4050 as the processor, and using the EV-COG-AD4050LZ to develop the firmware for it. I could view debug output fine using adi_uart_write when connecting to the EV-COG via USB and programming with a Segger J-Link EDU. My custom boards have a Sparkfun QWIIC connector and a JLINK-9 header, but no USB. I managed to program the ADuCM4050 on my custom board ok, however I cannot see any debug output.

I know that the EV-COG has an mbed chip for USB functionality, and that it converts the UART output to a USB data signal, so that wouldn't show up on the SWDIO port, but I'm at a loss as to how I can view any output. Just a simple "hello world" would be enough right now!

I've included SEGGER_RTT.c and SEGGER_RTT_printf.c to try and get some output in J-Link RTT Viewer, but nothing seems to show up. Does anyone know if there's something like an "adi_swd_write" function or some way to use the SEGGER_RTT libraries with the ADuCM4050?

I looked at the schematic for the EV-COG and the JLink-9 header has the SWD_Data line, so even just some way to send data to that specifically soI can make a simple program to read and decode the output would be great!
