I am looking for a way to upload a firmware to the ADuCM4050 controller through the UART.
My intention is to enable users to update the existing firmware using this procedure.
Would you have a suggestion or an example of such procedure?
Thanks a lot
1. You can use the CrossCore Serial Flash Programmer to download your firmware.
Note: Do this before downloading the firmware:
a. Press and hold BOOT and Reset button at the same time.
b. Release Reset button while holding the BOOT button.
c. Finally release BOOT button
2.Or you can use the "Drag and Drop" method, just drag and drop hex/bin file to "DAPLINK" drive to download your firmware
Thanks a lot for you explanation, it is very helpful!
I tried the procedure with the CrossCore Serial Flash Programmer using the EV-COG-AD4050LZ boar and it works fine.
However, when i use my custom made HW, i am able to put it in the external boot mode using steps a-c you sugested above, but when i try to upload the hex file with the Flash Programmer i am receiving an error message "No autobaud response.
The reason why it is not working not my custom made HW is that the USB-serial converter is connected to UART1 and not to UART0 as in Ezkit.
I guess the boot kernel is configured to work with UART0.
Is there any way to configure it such that i can work with UART1?
