Q.
Does ADI have any antenna or PCB recommendation reference available for the ADuCRF101?
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
A.
The antenna is the heart of any wireless system; it gives the wireless system three fundamental properties: gain, direction, and polarization. Various options are available for antennas depending on frequency, range, usage indoor or outdoors. Selection of an antenna is generally a compromise between size, cost and performance.
Most commonly used antennas are monopole antennas, some of the recommended antennas to be used with ADuCRF101 are listed below. These are readily available from Digi-Key
Frequency Antenna Type Digi-Key Part No.
433 MHz Monopole ANT-433-CW-HWR-SMA
433 MHz Chip Antenna ANT-433-SP-ND
868 MHz Monopole ANT-868-CW-HWR-SMA
868 MHz Chip Antenna ANT-868-CHP-TCT-ND
915 MHz Monopole ANT-916-CW-HWR-SMA-ND
915 MHz Chip Antenna 712-1535-1-ND
We are in the process of evaluating the PCB antenna for the ADuCRF101, the design would be released in near future.
