Q: Can ADuCM350 be used for measurement of capacitive load alone?
A: ADuCM350 cannot be used for measuring capacitive impedance alone as it would cause In-Amp loop in-stability. To maintain In-Amp stability ensure that the below two conditions are met in the circuit under measurement.
1.A minimum series resistance of 100 ohm.
2.The maximum frequency of the R and C combination is less than 500 K Hz.
i.e 1/(2*pi*R*C) =< 500 K Hz.
R – Series Resistance of the measurement circuit.
C – Capacitance of the measurement circuit.
ADuCM350 FAQ DFT / Impedance Measurement suggests that sub-ohm impedance can be measured. Which is correct?
