ADUC824: FAQs

We have to stop a process after a time of about 6 hrs. Therefore we need an
application which builds a time counter for 6 hrs.
Do you have any proposals?

Use the Time interval counter in the ADUC824. The TIC is capable of timeout
intervals ranging from 1/128th second to 255 hours. Furthermore, this counter
is clocked by the crystal oscillator rather than the PLL and thus has the
ability to remain active in power-down mode and time long power-down intervals.

You may also be able to make use of the 8051 micro, flash memory and on-chip
24bit sigma delta ADC for monitoring process parameters.
