Question
Is it possible to use the ADuM3190 to measure current in 230V AC line?
Answer
The ADuM3190 was designed for a 0.35V to 1.5V input, while the 230VAC current
from a resistor would have a positive and negative voltage, and would probably
be a low voltage to keep losses in the resistor low. Even if the voltage
measured was unipolar, the errors of gain at more than 15%, plus offset and
linearity errors from the ADUM3190 when not used as designed as an isolated
feedback amplifier, may be too large for the application.
