Do I have to use a Wheatstone bridge-type sensor to utilize the MAX1452 or MAX1455 signal conditioners?
Any type of sensor can be used, as long as the sensor excitation and sensor output comply with the signal conditioner's requirement. The MAX1452 and MAX1455 signal conditioners operate on the differential input between the INP and INM pins. For example, the MAX1452 has been utilized in applications using 350Ω strain gauge.
