Question
How do I take full advantage of AD8237 performance?
Answer
Proper layout and decoupling will help performance. Keep input traces matched
and parasitics small for CMRR performance. There are often large resistors in
the feedback, so parasitic capacitance can be a concern there too. It may be
worth removing ground plane there for some cases. Depending on the gain and
bandwidth mode, there may be a fair amount of chopping ripple at the outputs.
Be wary of crosstalk, intermodulation, and aliasing problems that may have the
potential to cause. The first defense against this is filtering/limiting
bandwidth.
If it’s still a problem, it may be solvable with careful design and layout.
