Question
What happens if the output is driven beyond one of the supply-rail Voltages?
Answer
The ADA4500 has been designed to accommodate output overload.
Op amps typically are not designed to tolerate overload; they can take tens of
microseconds to return to the in-range value when the overload is removed. The
ADA4500 is designed to typically recover in 1 microsecond. In applications such
as feedback control systems, this results in increased response time.
