A sensor typically produces low output voltage that requires a signal
conditioning circuit with high gain, low noise and accurate dc perfor¬mance.
However, offset voltage, drift, and 1/f noise cause errors, especially for dc
or low frequencies and low level voltage measurements. These dc inaccuracies
amplified by the circuit gain, causes a shift in the output voltage. Therefore,
it is crucial to minimize offset voltage and drift as well as eliminate 1/f
noise with a zero-drift amplifier for optimum signal conditioning.
