I tested the IC by providing 5V to the IN and ON pins. The output is loaded with 400 mA and everything is working.
Then I externally drove the output to 5.2 V. Reverse current is flowing through the IC. It gets desaturated. In my opinion, this should not happen.
Does reverse current protection always work?
