AD8336 Simulation in PSPICE Issues

Hello,

I am having some trouble simulating the AD8336 part in PSPICE. I have downloaded the SPICE model from the Analog Devices website. I created the PSPICE model from it and associated a schematic capture symbol with it as I usually do with models from Analog and other manufactures. When I run the simulation I receive a few errors and the simulation aborts.

Here are the two errors specifically.

ERROR (ORPSIM-16152) : Invalid number $

ERROR (ORPSIM-16049) : Values must be monotonic increasing

For some reason I can't paste the text right from the file into this question. I will attach a text file with the output log to this question. I'm just trying to do some simple simulations with this part to evaluate its performance and determine the need for the internal preamp or not. I have attempted both Transient analysis and AC sweeps. Both give me the same errors. I have done some searching around and it seems that this model has had some previous history of not working very well. I'm curious if its something Im doing or if there is a problem with the model. If the model is suspect has it been fixed?

I have also included a screen shot of the schematic I am trying to simulate.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Thank you for running the simulation. The application will to in simple terms act as an variable gain analog front end for a receiver that will be subject to 20vpp sine wave signal. Close to DC (~100Hz) all the way to 8MHz. I would like to use the model to experiment with filtering between the LNA and VGA as well as determine the need for the extra gain from the LNA. Additionally I was going to evaluate the LNA set up for unity gain vs. no LNA at all. With this I was planning on adding some external compensation on the feedback circuit as the data sheet suggests. The data sheet doesn't cover much about running the LNA in unity inverting configuration. This was the original reason I would have liked to use the model in my simulation.

    I see that you have it at least partially working. If there is any chance I can get the model to partially work it would be much appreciated. If not I will have to spend some more time in the lab once the hardware is in. I am just trying to minimize the hardware modification I will have to do especially since the package for this part is so small.

    This is a very nice device with some quirks depending on how you are using it. The model will save me a lot of time in the lab with experimenting.
