ADA4177: Why do I need a rail-to-rail output (RRO)?

There are many situations in which an RRO optimizes the system design. For example, since the ADA4177 has a rail-to-rail output, it can be powered from an ADC’s reference, allowing the op amp’s output signal to swing almost the full range of the reference. This allows the system designer to achieve more gain with one amplifier and maximize the ADC’s input signal dynamic range.
