shutdown and on pin with high level input signals

Thread Summary

The user is designing a new PCB using the ADA4870 as a buffer with G=1 and a 20Vpp, 3MHz signal. The design requires the output to shut down via the SD or ON pin while a 20Vpp signal is present at the input. The final answer indicates that there will likely be some leakage at the output, estimated to be tens of millivolts, based on the disabled forward isolation of -65dB at 3MHz for a 2Vpp input. The user suggests testing this on an evaluation board for more accurate results.

Hello:

I am designing a new pcb and planning on using the ADA4870 as a buffer G=1 output driver.
Vcc=12V ; Vee=-12V
Signal shall be at max 20 Vpp and BW 3Mhz

The design requires that by an external signal the output shutdown so using the SD pin or the ON pin shall solve that.

One operation condition shall be that the IC must shutdown the output while it has a 20Vpp signal at the input.

Will it work? or may the signal leak into the output due to the high amplitude ?

PD
The circuit will replace and old pcb that uses AD8016 that unfortunately has this problem.
If you use the BIAS pin to shutdown and the input is over 8Vpp it does not work.
Unfortunately this is not mentioned in the datasheets.
