Hi S1640,
I submitted a request for ESD voltage test and will update you once the results are available.
Regards,
Ian
Hi S1640,
Just an update, MAX44243 meets JEDEC JESD22-A114 HBM requirements at +/- 2500V.

Ian
Thank you Ianguieb-san,
Do you know the other device likes MAX44243 specification with +/- 4kV HBM ?
Hi S1640,
There is no pin-compatible or equivalent zero-drift, low noise amplifier replacement for MAX44243 with 4kV HBM ESD. Other devices like ADA4177 have a 4kV HBM ESD rating, but it is not a drop-in alternative from a precision standpoint.
MAX44243 has lower ESD rating because it is optimized as a low-noise, zero-drift. Achieving 4kV HBM means adding stronger clamps and other dedicated overvoltage networks. Those networks cost more leakage, capacitance, noise and input error. For example, here is a comparison of the two parts.
Also, note that the input and output pins are typically protected against ESD so that the device can withstand the manufacturing and PCB assembly process. For industrial system protection, IEC 61000-4-2 system-level ESD ratings are more relevant than HBM alone. The industry-standard solution is adding external low-leakage ESD protection in front of the precision amplifier. Here is a good reference discussing this in more detail:

Hello Iangueb-san,
Thank you for always your suppots.
I would like to confirm MAX44251 ESD HBM and CDM values. Is this device HBM also 4kV?
Thank you/
