Input Impedance

Category: Hardware
Product Number: ltc2050

HI,

What is the input impedance of the LTC2050? It doesn't appear to be listed in the datasheet. (or I have simply missed it) . I am using the part in a standard non-inverting configuration.

Thanks a lot

  • Hi Richard,

You can see that the input bias current is in the pA range, so it usually means very high input impedance. However, due to the autozero feature the input signals are loaded by periodic current spikes. Therefore, the source impadance should be kept low. See the Clock Feedthrough, Input Bias Current section in the datasheet. This may be the reason for the missing specification, I think this kind of load should be considered instead.

    Best wishes, Zoltan
