I am considering the ADA4351-2 to convert photo diode currents into voltages. Some of the photodiodes have long cables however which means a large input capacitance (up to 1 nF) to the TIA.
To prevent oscillations in our own TIAs I use feedback capacitors. The datasheet makes reference to 'internal compensation' reducing the need for external compensation capacitors but doesn't specify any further.
- What input capacitance (for what gains) can these TIAs handle without compensation?
- Will adding external compensation capacitors be ok?
