Hi, I'm new here. I just wanted to know if the AD848JNZ can be used to substitute an BB OPA604AP? If yes, thank you. If not, which high speed AD op-amp would be superior to the BB op-amp for audio? Thank you
AD848
Production
The AD848 and AD849 are high speed, low power monolithic operational amplifiers. The AD848 is internally compensated so that it is stable for closed loop...

Hi Sonusancti ,
The AD848 would seem an overkill for an audio application and as a replacement for the OPA604. I would recommend looking at the ADA4610-1 --- it is close to the performance of the OPA604. Let me know your thoughts regarding my recommendation, I may be able to recommend some more parts if you could share your requirements for your audio op-amp.
Thanks,
Gio
Hi Gio,
Thanks for your response. I like to learn from experimentation. But you're right, from the slew rate alone it's overkill. I'll update you.
Best regards,
