AD8638 power supply range

Question

数据表中 AD8638的供电电压范围是 5V to 16V single-supply or &plusmn;2.5V to &plusmn;8V dual-supply，那我可以V+用9V供电，V-用-5V供电吗？ 
 The supply voltage range of the AD8638 in the data table is 5V to 16V single-supply or &plusmn;2.5V to &plusmn;8V dual-supply, then can I supply V+ with 9V and V- with -5V?

Hello andy_zhao , Yes, you can supply it with V+ = 9V and V- = -5 V. The op amp does not have a ground terminal which means it can only see the difference between V+ and V-. Having V+ = 9V and V- = -5 V would mean that you will have a total supply voltage of V+ minus V- which is equal to 14V, and since this voltage is within the total supply voltage range of 5V to 16V, the op amp should work fine. 
 Please do note that since you are using asymmetrical power supplies, you will have to pay extra careful with regards to the input voltage range and output voltage range of the part. The input voltage range / output voltage range head room and foot room to the rails should be followed to make sure that the part will operate well. Best regards, Paul)
