I purchased an AD549JHZ chip, but testing revealed that its pin 8 is not connected to the case. However, the case is connected to the negative power supply pin. This is contrary to the information provided in the datasheet. Is this configuration correct?

Good day. Based on the datasheet, pin 8 should be connected to the case.
Would you share with us how did you measure the connection of the case to pin 8 and the negative supply as well as your setup during the measurement? Please also check if the pin you are checking was actually pin 8 since the negative power supply pin and pin 8 were actually opposite each other and would possibly cause discrepancies. Thank you.
