- Can i use this IC as single supply configuration with +12V ?
- What can i do for short circuit protection ?
- Another alternate with high slew rate and high output current ( >100mA )

Hi Zie
What would be your application for the part? You can use a single supply configuration using +12V, although its performance is not guaranteed by the datasheet. Can you give me your required specifications so we can narrow down the list of possible alternatives.
Best regards,
Gio
My requirement is , I need to switch the Op-Amp output with +12V amplitude and pulse period of 100ns( Variable ) with respect to input LVTTL control lines. So i planned to operate it in G=5 for LVTTL input. output will go to the field( other modules ) So short circuit protection to be provided.

Hi Zie
You can use PTC resettable fuse, just consider the maximum expected load current, and also the operating temperature.

Gio
Hi GioBalgemino
Yes put external re-settable fuse. One more doubt i had been trying to simulate the given circuit but im unable to get the 12V switching output. Please find the simulation out here and provide your valuable suggestions.
Hi Zie
Here's the output from my simulation with G=5. By the way, note that AD8021 is not a rail to rail output amplifier so we wouldn't be able to achieve the 12V output that you mentioned.

It looks like LT6200, LT1809, and AD811 should be applicable. For more options you can browse it thru filtering the specs that you need.

Best regards,
Gio
Hi,
I believe that the question has already been answered so I am closing this thread. Thank you!
