ADA4870 always shut-down

Hi victorMen,

Good day!
You mentioned that your ON pin has two state, either pulled low(to VEE) or floating.
When the amplifier is turned on what's the state of this ON pin?

It was stated in the datasheet(page 19) that upon power-up it needs to be pulled low to ensure that the amplifier is turned on.

Can you double check the state of your switch and let us know if the amplifier is still turning off when you pulled it low upon power up.

Hi Dann,

I pull to ON pin low on power-up, but nothing changes in how the components perform.

Here is the output (green) when the amplifier is power-up. Yellow is the input.

If I pull low the ON pin, the amplifier gets hot and if, after the power-up, I pull the ON pin floating it shut-down.

Can you send a picture of your breadboard setup?
I'm not expecting this to heat up at that level of input (200mVpp). Are you applying the input at INP?

When you pull the ON pin to low, did you observe the current draw from your power supply?
I'll try replicating your configuration in the lab and let you know my steps. but for the meantime I'd like to get the information asked.

Here is some pictures of my breadboard setup and a schematic for a better understanding. (I can't paste the pictures)

The input is at INP. When I pull the ON pin low, the current from the power supply is around 80 mA.

Can you try checking the voltage from the SD pin and see if it there's a ~4.4V that can be measured from the voltage divider?
