LT1037 minimum supply voltage

Category: Datasheet/Specs
Product Number: LT1037

I was curious if the minimum operating supply voltage of the LT1037 is specified in the datasheet somewhere.

It certainly seems to be suggested to be around +/- 2V by some of the graphs in the datasheet which plot variables against the supply voltage (e.g. the "Voltage Gain vs. Supply Voltage" graph), but I was wondering if there is actually a specification.

Thanks!

  • Hi,

You can find it in the datasheet at the PSRR parameter:

Anyway, I do not recommend using a supply voltage that is significantly smaller than +/-15V, since all of the specifications are valid only for this supply voltage. So, you do not have specs at for example +/-5V. This is probably the intention of the manufacturer and this can be a reason why there is no separate line in the datasheet for the supply voltage range. If you need such low voltages you've mentioned, choose another amplifier.

On the other hand, you should never operate any IC at the limits listed in the absolute maximum ratings (so, this amplifier should not be used with supply voltages of +/-22V). See this important article about it: What’s the big deal about ABSOLUTE MAXIMUM RATINGS?
