AD8599 output not reaching 0V

Category: Hardware
Product Number: AD8599

Hello,

I'm creating a simple negative feedback circuitry using the AD8599 that looks something like this:

The op-amp is supplied with 0V and 5V. The non-inverting pin is connected to a DAC output.

However, the output of the op-amp is:

  • constant 1.2V if my DAC output (Vin) goes from 0V to ~500mV
  • and then, when Vin goes from 500mV to 2.5V, it starts to behave correctly, i.e: Vout = 2Vin

Why is this the case? Is it because of the fact the op-amp is not a rail-to-rail?

Thank you :)
