LT1782 short circuit protection

Question

Hello, 
 I am evaluating if the LT1782 has short circuit protection or not. 
 Looking at the circuit diagram from its datasheet, it seems to me that the output stage HAS NOT a short circuit protection circuit. 
 
 Also, the datasheet does not mention nothing about it. 
 Could you confirm ?

Hi, 
 It is a simplified schematic, so does not contain all of the components. The datasheet specifies the short-circuit current, so the part limits the output current. Don't forget to read the related note about heat dissipation. In the absolute maximum ratings table you can also see a statement: ' Output Short-Circuit Duration: Indefinite '. However, the heat dissipation should be kept within the specifications, as note 2 says (' A heat sink may be required to keep the junction temperature below absolute maximum .').)
