Hi,
I want to implement a simple peak detector with a precision diode. I am using the LTC6268-10 to implement the >10 MHz precision diode due to its low input capacitance. However, I would like to increase the voltage supply to +-5V. Thus, I am looking for an amplifier with >100 MHz BW, >10 V/us SR, Vdd-Vss >= 10 V, and low input capacitance (comparable to LTC6268-10). Which one should I choose?
Thanks in advance.
Hi dpalma: the lowest input Ccm opamps I see with >10V supply capability and low bias current are ADA4817 (1.3pF, 10V) and AD8067 (1.5pF, 24V).
Hi,
Thanks for your response.
For some reason, the circuit does not work with an AD8067. Seems pretty unreasonable to me, because the input capacitance of ~1.5 pF does not explain this behavior.
Results:
You can see that the AD8067 implementation does not the peak detection job because all the current flowing through the capacitor is flowing through the negative input of the AD8067. This does not happen with the LTC6268-10. Am I missing something?
Thanks again!
