Q&A LT1713 input capacitance

hello,

Spice model for the LT1713 suggests input capacitance is 5pF (C5 3 6 5p).

Can anyone confirm or have another number?

It seems a big number for this fast comparator.

On the other hand, the LT1711 has a 0.5pF input capacitance (same Spice models file).

Hi,

Are you referring to C5, C6 equal to 5pF in the LT1713 spice netlist? Did you checked it?

The 5p in C5 and C6 is on the output stage and not the input capacitance.

Hi ARoxas,

As far as i know, (C5 3 6 5p) means the capacitance between pins 3 to 6 in the device.

So, yes, i mean C5 is the input capacitance in the spice model.

Am i wrong here?

Do you know the typical input capacitance for the LT1713?

Do you have the schematic that corresponds to the LT1713 netlist?

At least the input and output stages?
