I am using the ADA4625-1 in a Digital to Analog Converter analog stage. I sometimes to like to use a current source to bias op amps into class a to reduce or eliminate crossover distortion. However, I noticed in the ada4625 datasheet that it says that gm2 clamps the base voltages of the output transistors so neither ever turns off. Does this mean then there will be no crossover distortion as there is no crossover point?
Yes that should be the case, gm2 reduces the crossover distortion by both transistors by keeping it slightly on during crossover.
