I am testing current capability of op-amps by evaluating voltage swing to rails with simulation in PSpice.
I do it by sweeping through a current source at the output (at 75°). For negative rail (and currents) the V2 is set to 0V.
However ,ADA4805 shows weird behavour: it is supposed to be RRO, but the output is almost 1 V away from V+.
Have I missed something in the data sheet or perhaps there is a problem with the model?
Hi Andrey,
ADA4805 is Rail-to-Rail out but not Rail-to-Rail in. At Vs = + 5 V, the specified IVR is -5.1 V to +4 V, a 1V headroom from the positive supply.
Regards,
Jino
Please keep in mind that spice models typically do not model the behavior of the device over temperature.
