Yes you can. AD538 output's transfer function goes Vo = Vy (Vz/Vx)^m. Set both Vy and Vz to a fixed 1.0 V and m to 2. See figure 16 of the datasheet. Vx will be your input, Vy and Vz as fixed to VREF. You can have the 1.0V for Vy and Vz by implementing a voltage divider from the on-chip 2V output reference. Just make sure that Vx is within the specified operating voltage range as specified in the datasheet,

The value of m could also be some noninteger power such as 1.5.
Refer also to Figure 16 formula to determine the resistor value of RA for power greater than one.
Ex. when M=1.5, RA = 196/(1.5 - 1) = 392ohms.
