RF/High Speed Signal Prototyping

I'm trying to use the AD600 (as well as some other components, but the AD600 for now) in a a high speed application, but do not have circuit boards yet.  The part does not have an evaluation board, but I'm not sure if I can use the white/breadboard prototyping method with high speed signals.  Any help with prototyping the AD600 or high speed signal prototyping in general would be greatly appreciated.

Other parts that I will be using that I also could not find evaluation boards for include the OP400A, AD534, ADG201, OP270 & OP467.

Thanks!

LaserENGR,

My rule of thumb is anything over about 1 MHz is not suitable for the white breadboarding strips.

There is too much capacitance between nodes.  You can do a quick pc board design, send the

data file to one of the quick prototying houses, and get three to six boards back in less than one

week for less than $100.

Pin outs for singles/duals/quads are pretty much standardized, so you can get some generic

op amp eval boards that would work with a lot of part numbers.

Go to:  http://www.analog.com/en/evaluation-boards-kits/resources/index.html

and select op amps.

  • Hello,

This may be your lucky day!

I'm the applications engineer for the AD600 and I happen to have an unreleased eval board for thre AD600 SOIC wide body package. I have boards that will accept a socket, or that have the normal solder pad pattern. These are not built but I think I stll have the documentation describing the board. I also support the AD534 but I never made a board for that part. I don't su[pport the other parts but you might contact Mr. Reza Moghimi to see if the amplifier group has a universal eval board for an 8-pin op-amp pattern.

If all the parts you mentioned are on the same circuit you would be better off making a small circuit as HArry suggested, rather than bolting together several eval boards.
