Need amplifier like OP497 but smaller size

Hi Kole,

Do you already have a board fabricated? Can your board accommodate something slightly wider? I believe the AD8624 will perform very closely to the OP497. The size of the IC is 4.4mmx5mm, please see Figure 62 on the datasheet. If you require a package with the exact dimensions of 4mmx8mm though, I can recommend something else.

Thanks for the reply! The specs on the AD8624 look like they will work great. However, we do have a board fabricated so unfortunately we need an IC a little closer to the exact dimensions.

The dimensions given on the link I shared above are (8.560-8.738)mm length, (3.810-3.998)mm width and (5.791-6.197)mm width with pins. Additionally, the spacing is 1.270mm between each pin. Something closer to this would be great.

What supply will you be using? Also, I assume that since you're taking DC measurements, you don't need too high a bandwidth?

We will be using +/- 5V DC power supply. That is correct about the bandwidth.

You could take a look at the AD8669 or the AD8659. The AD8669 is more similar to the OP497, so i would check that out first. The package you are looking for is the 14-lead SOIC-N.
